​On the afternoon of June 29, 2022, the CPV Designated Representation of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in collaboration with the Central Committee for Mass Mobilization, the Central Propaganda and Training Commission and the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front held a Conference to thoroughly understand and implement Conclusion No. 12-KL/TW dated August 12, 2021 of the Politburo (term XIII) on overseas Vietnamese work in the new situation and Resolution No. 169-NQ/CP dated December 31, 2021 of the Government on continuing to promote overseas Vietnamese work in the 2021-2026 period.

The Conference was connected online to nearly 200 ends, including 63 ends with the representatives of the province and city Party Committee; representatives of departments and sectors, branches, Vietnam Fatherland Front, press agencies of provinces and cities in the country; representatives of oversea relatives' associations and nearly 100 overseas Vietnamese representative agencies … At Dong Nai’s end, there were the participation of Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Thanh Son, Vice-Chairman of the DPPC Vo Tan Duc and representatives of departments and sectors.

The Conference was conducted to create a consensus on awareness and action among agencies and organizations directly involved in overseas Vietnamese work; raise the meaning, importance and role of overseas Vietnamese work; ensure that agencies and organizations grasp the guidelines, tasks and solutions to organize the effective implementation of overseas Vietnamese work in the new period, creating smoothness and consistency in implementation from central to local governments, among relevant branches and fields; affirming the consistent guidelines and policies of our Party and State on firmly consolidating the great national unity bloc, in which the overseas Vietnamese are “an integral part of the Vietnamese community”.
