DONG NAI DEPARTMENT OF EXTERNAL RELATIONS

• Department of External Relations is a specialized agency of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, acting as a counselor for the Provincial People's Committee in performing the function of State management of foreign affairs in the locality, implementing a number of powers under the authorization of the Provincial People's Committee and according to the law.
  
• Department of Foreign Affairs is under the direction and management of the personnel organization and operation of Dong Nai Provincial People's Committee, and is also a subject to the professional guidance and inspection of Ministry of Foreign Affairs.​

• Department of Foreign Affairs has the legal entity, its own seal and is allowed to open an account at Dong Nai State Treasury in accordance with the regulations of the State.

• Submitting to the Provincial People's Committee for approval of long-term and annual plans on foreign affairs, programs and projects under the Department's management in accordance with the local socio-economic development strategies.
• Acting an an advisor for the Provincial People's Committee to set up the provincial annual foreign activity program, then report to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for summary and submission to the Prime Minister for approval.
• Composing the draft submitted to the Provincial People's Committee to promulgate Decisions, Directives and Papers on foreign affairs in the province.
• Organizing the implementation of legal documents related to foreign affairs, approved local plans for foreign affairs; provide information, conduct propaganda, dissemination and education activities in various fields under the management of the Department.
  
• Coordinating with related provincial agencies in advising and proposing to the provincial People's Committee the orientation of foreign affairs of the State and the people to people affairs to contribute to solving socio-economic issues, maintaining security - politics, strengthening friendship and cooperation with foreign countries.
  
• Contributing opinions with related departments and agencies in proposing directions, forms and partnerships in foreign affairs in the province; supporting the Provincial People's Committee monitor and promote the implementation of Cooperation Agreements signed with foreign countries.

• Activities exchanging with foreign countries on politics, economy, culture, education, health, sport and tourism.
• Managing delegations on overseas working trips (outgoing delegations) and welcoming foreign and international delegations to Dong Nai province (incoming delegations).
• Signing and implementing international agreements.
• Organizing international conferences and seminars.
• Receiving medals or other titles awarded by foreign organizations or individuals or international organizations.
• Solving complex situations in relations with foreign organizations and individuals.
• External economic relations, including receiving foreign aid investment projects.
• Making a summary of situation and information on foreign affairs.
• Managing foreign organizations and individuals in Dong Nai province.
• Fostering foreign affairs professional knowledge​.
