​On April 26, 2024, at the Golden Lotus Event Center, the Vietnam - US Friendship Association of Dong Nai Province organized the 2nd Congress of Delegates for the 2024-2029 term. Attending the Congress were: Mr. Thomas Zia - Acting Deputy Consul General of the United States to Ho Chi Minh City, Ambassador Bui The Giang - Vice Chairman of the Central Vietnam - US Friendship Association, Mr. Vo Tan Duc - Acting Chairman of the DPPC, Mr. Dao Van Phuoc - Head of the Organizing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Huynh Thanh Binh – Head of Inspection Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, Ms. Hoang Thi Bich Hang - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council.

Provincial leaders and delegates congratulated the Executive Committee of the Vietnam - US Friendship Association of Dong Nai Province for the 2024-2029 term.

Delivering his speeh at the Congress, Acting Chairman of the DPPC Vo Tan Duc highly appreciated the results of the Association's activities in the past term and requested that in the new term, the Association needs to carry out 5 key tasks, including: closely monitor the policies and orientations of people-to-people diplomacy of the Party, State, Central Vietnam - American Association and Dong Nai Province; Establish and develop relationships with people's organizations, enterprises and US partners; Expand activities and develop the Association's organization; Promote propaganda and promote Dong Nai's image to American friends and people; Departments, sectors and localities of the province coordinate, support and create the best conditions for the Vietnam - US Friendship Association of the province to well perform its tasks.

The Congress elected the Executive Committee with 16 members and elected Head of the Organization Committee of the Provincial Party Committee Dao Van Phuoc as Chairman of the Vietnam - US Friendship Association of Dong Nai Province for the 2024-2029 term. On this occasion, the DPPC awarded certificates of merit to 19 individuals and collectives with outstanding contributions to the Association's work in the past term.
