​On March 26, 2024, at the Provincial Party Committee Hall, Dong Nai Province held a Conference on the theme “World Net-Zero Trends and Sustainable Green Development Direction for Dong Nai Province”. Attending the Conference were Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Hong Linh; Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Ho Thanh Son; Acting Chairman of the Dong Nai Province People's Committee (DPPC) Vo Tan Duc and comrades in the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, leaders of departments, sectors, localities, experts and enterprises.

Delivering his speech at the opening of the Conference, Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Hong Linh said green growth is a global trend and an inevitable development path for the world. Dong Nai Province also follows the general trend of the world, being the first locality in the country to build a project to reduce carbon emissions in the area until 2030, with a vision to 2050.

At the Conference, delegates listened to the sharing of experts, international organizations, domestic and foreign researchers about international experiences in green and sustainable economic development such as: Trends green growth of the United States and countries around the world; How does the government conduct a carbon inventory? Methods and case studies; How do enterprises conduct a carbon inventory? Methods and case studies; The role of green credit in local development orientation; Transparently publicize environmental information - responsibilities and benefits of industrial zones and enterprises in Vietnam.
