On the afternoon of August 26, 2021, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministry of Planning and Investment held a webinar on “Fostering investment cooperation between Vietnam and the Middle East: potential, opportunities and new approaches”.
The webinar were chaired by Mr. Pham Quang Hieu - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Ms. Nguyen Thi Bich Ngoc - Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment. Attending the webinar also were representatives of relevant ministries and sectors, Ambassadors of countries in the Middle East, some Vietnamese localities and enterprises cooperating with the Middle East region, representatives of investment funds, corporations, companies in the Middle East - North Africa region operating in Vietnam... From Dong Nai point was Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang - Deputy Director of the Department of External Relations.

At the webinar, the speakers presented presentations at the sessions, including: overseas investment trends of countries in the Middle East and potentials of the Vietnamese market; New approaches in enhancing investment attraction from the Middle East. In addition, the participants shared the potentials, advantages, difficulties and obstacles, grasped the overseas investment trends of the Middle East region, the potentials of the Vietnamese market, identifying new and specific measures to further improve the efficiency of investment cooperation between the two sides. The webinar is an opportunity to connect enterprises, localities and potential partners of the two sides to further improve the efficiency of investment cooperation between Vietnam and Middle East partners.
