​From April 13 to April 16, 2023, a Delegation of Dong Nai Province led by Vice-Chairwoman of the DPPC Nguyen Thi Hoang attended the 12th Vietnam-France Decentralised Cooperation Conference in Hanoi. Participating in the Delegation were leaders of the Departments of External Relations; Culture, Sports and Tourism; Education and Training. The Conference was chaired by the People's Committee of Hanoi, in collaboration with the Association of French localities, with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Vietnam, the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs of France, the Embassy of Vietnam in France, French Embassy in Vietnam.

Taking place at a time when the two countries are celebrating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations and the 10th anniversary of strategic partnership, the 12th Conference showed the role and prestige of this cooperation mechanism with the participation of 50 localities of Vietnam and 12 localities of France, and many state and private organisations of the two sides.

With the theme “The driving force for sustainable and comprehensive recovery and development after the COVID-19 pandemic”, the Conference consisted of four seminars: (i) Sustainable cities; (ii) Environment, water and water treatment; (iii) Culture, Heritage and Tourism; (iv) Smart Cities and Digitization. In addition, many sideline activities were also organized to further tighten the solidarity and exchange between localities and partners of the two countries such as: Promotional space for localities; Festival “Balade en France”; Vietnam - France Economic Forum; meetings and contacts between government and government (G2G), government to business (G2B), and business to business (B2B)…
