​On December 14-18, 2021, in Hanoi, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the 31st National Diplomatic Conference with the theme "Vietnam's Diplomacy: pioneer, comprehensive, modern, proactive and adaptive, successfully implementing the Resolution by the 13th National Party Congress”. The Conference was held in the online form connecting provinces and cities across the country. Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh attended and directed the Conference. On Dong Nai’s end, Ms. Dang Thanh Thuy - Director of the Department of External Relations attended the Opening and Plenary sessions on diplomacy for the development of the country.

At the Conference, delegates focused on discussing and assessing the trends of the world economy, opportunities and challenges for Vietnam to successfully implement the socio-economic development goals in the coming period; proposing goals, viewpoints and directions to effectively deploy diplomacy for development, promoting the pioneering role of foreign affairs in serving practical development goals of the country.

Delivering his speech at the Conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh praised the efforts that the diplomatic sector has achieved in recent years. The Prime Minister emphasized that the Conference held on a national scale played an important role in implementing the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress on foreign affairs in the coming time. The Prime Minister requested the foreign affairs sector to focus on strategic research and accumulate databases to obtain a complete and comprehensive database for thorough analysis and accurate information. In addition, it is necessary to evaluate the results that have been done and have not yet been done, so as to give orientation to foreign affairs accordingly.
