On the afternoon of August 31, 2021, the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City held a Webinar on Social Security Policies of India and Vietnam.
Attending the webinar were H.E. Mr. Pranay Verma - Ambassador of India to Vietnam; Dr. Muniraju, S.B, Ph. D, Deputy Adviser National Institution for Transforming India (NITI Aayog) Government of India; Mr. Madan Mohan Sethi - Consul General of India in Ho Chi Minh City. In addition, the webinar also had the participation of scientists, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Do Thu Ha Former Dean of Faculty of Oriental Studies, Hanoi-VNU; Ms. Nguyễn Thị Thanh Tùng, M.A. Lecturer, Faculty of Social Work, VNUHCM-USSH, lecturers, students in Ho Chi Minh City, Tien Giang and government employees of localities.
At Dong Nai point, Mr. Nguyen Viet Thang - Deputy Director of the External Relations Department and government employees of International Cooperation Division attended the webinar.

Delivering his speech at the opening of webinar, Mr. Pranay Verma - Ambassador of the Republic of India to Vietnam informed that following the activities in the series of events to celebrate the 75th Indian Independence Day, the Consulate General of India in Ho Chi Minh City held Webinar on Social Security Policies of India and Vietnam to contribute to exploring and enhancing information exchange on social security policies of India and Vietnam.
At the exchange, the speakers presented the following topics: Recent developments in social security policies in India; Social welfare in VietNam - Emphasizing the social welfare policies at the time of the 4th wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, the webinar also had a Q-A session to answer questions helping participants accumulate more useful knowledge about the Social Security Policy of Vietnam and India.
